The Lost Ligature

The Kingdom of Aelucis is currently facing a massive interregnum for having an empty throne for 11 years since the demise of the 15th crown. Crowned Princess Claire Aveline Aelucis has the throne in the least of her worries as searching for Camryn's whereabouts since her disappearance along with her parents' death is taking precedence over her head, unwilling to accept that she is gone.

With the kingdom at unrest, the Lord Protector and uncle of the Crowned Princess, Duke Reginald Clovis, urges Claire to awaken her ability to wield Light Magic through the annual event called Aelucian Wizardry Advancement Trial. Claire feels an additional burden and pressure at her uncle's proposal, for having to wield Light Magic poses a heavy threat to her health. What the Crowned Princess doesn't know is that her uncle's concern for the succession is not entirely selfless: if she fails to awaken her magic on time, he intends to claim the crown for himself.

As Claire struggles with the expectations of the crown, a looming threat begins to emerge from the horizon. A warlock wielding the same immense power that killed her parents was about to wage war against Aelucis. And somewhere within that imminence lies a familiar presence Claire has spent eleven years searching for, yet one she may not be prepared to face.
