After working at a dead end office job and not living a fulfilling life, a midlife crisis kicks your ass into making poor decisions that lead you to Paradise, Arizona. Instantly misfortune finds it's way to you once you arrive, and a strange bystander witnessing your lowest offers a Godly hand at your time of need. You have an awkward stay with him until you get back on your feet, and you can't help but taking a liking to the guy after getting to know the other residents of the town. In return for his past help, and vaguely being his "friend," you let him stay with you during rough patches in his marriage. Eventually rotting in your house together, him being practically an on and off roommate considering he'd have stays that would span months; things end up having their peaks and lows.
