Some love stories don't begin with butterflies. Some begin with exhaustion, quiet tears and a heart that's already learned how to endure. On the last day of the year, Anaya is barely holding herself together. Between leading her campus fest, managing endless responsibilities and carrying the weight of a relationship she can't seem to leave, her world feels overwhelming, loud and suffocating. Love to her has become something draining. Something uncertain. Something she stays in, even when it hurts. And then she meets Arjun. In the middle of chaos, he is calm. Where everything in her life feels rushed and heavy, he is patient. Gentle. Observant. The kind of person who notices when she's tired before she says a word, who listens without trying to fix, who cares in ways that feel.......unfamiliar. He isn't loud about it. He doesn't demand space in her life. But somehow, he becomes it. What starts as a simple introduction turns into something softer, deeper something that slowly begins to change the way she sees love and more importantly, the way she sees herself. Set against the backdrop of college fests, long days and emotionally messy in-betweens, this is a story about unlearning pain disguised as love and discovering something that feels safe instead. A story about choosing yourself, even when it's hard. About walking away, even when it takes time. And about a love that doesn't overwhelm but quietly stays.

Valeria didn't rush. She never did. Inez was pinned beneath her, wrist locked overhead, the hold precise and impersonal. Not pain. Control. Inez scoffed anyway. "That's it?" she sneered. "I've had tutors scarier than you." Valeria said nothing. The silence pressed in. "You don't scare me," Inez added, louder. Brattier. "You just-" "Enough." One word. Flat. Final. Valeria lifted Inez's chin with two fingers, detached as a correction. "Look at me," she said coolly. "If you're going to embarrass yourself, do it properly." Inez laughed, brittle. "You think this makes you powerful?" "I don't think," Valeria replied. "I decide." Her gaze never wavered. "You provoke because it's the last control you have." "I don't belong to you," Inez snapped. Valeria leaned in, voice razor-thin. "You are my wife. You belong to consequences." She released her grip. "Say it." "No." Valeria waited. The quiet broke Inez, she hated being ignored. "...I'll behave, I'll be a good girl" Inez muttered. "Specify." Inez swallowed hard. "...I'll be your good girl" Valeria stepped back, already distant. "Good," she said. "Remember why." #1 older women-13th February (FAST PACE BOOK)
