Kuroha Tsukiyo doesn't talk about why she transferred from Shiketsu. She doesn't talk about much at all not about the moth-shaped birthmark under her left eye, not about the shadow wings her Quirk summons from her back, and definitely not about the dark dust that drifts from her like something beautiful pretending it isn't dangerous.

She knows what she is. She's known since the night her Quirk awakened and the person she loved most paid the price. She came to U.A. to disappear. To start over somewhere her past couldn't reach her.

What she didn't account for was Kirishima Eijiro who is annoyingly perceptive for someone who smiles that much, and who seems completely unbothered by the fact that she's spent weeks making it clear she doesn't want to let anyone in.

She's good at keeping people at a distance. She's been doing it for years.
