During Summer Break,Summer Parker had to go to a mental institution due to her trying to kill herself . So none of her friends talk nor seen her during summer break. When they got back to school. Summer sister Kayla, show up at her school and Summers friends are confused on why she isn't here and why her sister is. All the sophomores are in the cafeteria for a meeting. Kayla is walking to her sister's classes to get her stuff but in the process she is crying. Skylar , Summers best friend, sees her crying but can't do anything about it
