The Brighter Side of Life

"What kind of change can come to a normal boy living in the south of England?"

Reece Johnson is a prime example of a typical teen struggling to find himself. He's a McDonalds working, parent-lacking (because the word orphan is too "Annie"), average Joe who is waiting for the moment that will define who he is. He sees the world in black and white, and for him, life isn't looking too bright.

Then there's Ayah Abasi, the refreshing new girl who never seems to speak. She's as amazing as they come, and Reece knows this as soon as they first exchange words. He thinks SHE could be his defining moment, but she is haunted by something, and it seems that all she wants to do is avoid him at all costs.

With the underlying threat of the memories of their pasts, and the crushing pressures of their future, they both need to learn how to seize the day and stop focusing on the things that don't matter. Besides, when life seems hopeless, you can always find hope in the arms of another.
