To be like you

Stuart's life changed completely when he met Murdoc and joined Gorillaz. Struggling with insecurities about his personality and appearance, 2D found himself admiring Murdoc instead of hating him, wanting to be more like him. It didn't take long for him to realize that this admiration was actually infatuation, and he begins trying to win over Murdoc - his so-called "friend".

English isn't my native language, and I don't speak it very well. I decided to write in English to reach more people, and because I don’t see many people shipping 2D/Murdoc in my country (most of the ones I’ve seen are younger fans). I apologize for any mistakes or awkward phrasing—I hope it’s still understandable.

In this story, the relationship between 2D and Murdoc may stray a bit from canon. It might sound a little hypocritical, but I’m not a big fan of very toxic dynamics. However, if we can ship something that isn’t canon, we can also write fanfics that don’t closely follow their original dynamic.
