Meldryn Bermudez was raised to follow a life already written for him. Kurt Isaiah Cruz has spent his life making sure there's even a tomorrow to reach. They meet somewhere in between, in quiet routines and borrowed time, building something that feels steady enough to last.

For a while, it does. Until Meldryn is given a choice that asks him to leave, just long enough to come back to everything that matters. Kurt lets him go. Meldryn believes there will still be something waiting when he returns.
