Liam Payne had made a promise to marry Malika when they were each twenty, back in middle school. Malika and Liam are now both 19, but Liam is engaged to Danielle Peazer. After trying to talk to Liam Malika realizes that talking isn't going to get Liam back. A simple conversation is not going to secure the wedding Malika always wanted, she had to do something bigger.
