I grew wide eyed and my eyes snapped to my dad. His face had paled and he gulped and once again plastered on the phoniest smile ever and gave a weak nod. My dad could be such a coward sometimes. But I guess I wouldn't pick a fight with a temperamental werewolf either. My eyes water up a little bit when I realized that there was no getting out of this and I was about to be left alone to live with a stranger.
