Daniel Voss doesn't believe in saints-only in lies dressed up as miracles.
So when he breaks into a remote basilica to steal the skull of Mary Magdalene, he expects to expose another centuries-old fraud.
What he finds instead is a warning:

Too late.
The moment the relic leaves its resting place, something begins to follow him. Bare footsteps in empty rooms. Wet hair crawling from drains. A woman in red who watches without blinking-and waits.
