Jane Locke and Rainner Hester

· Jane Locke is a senior detective in the Major Crimes Department, a cold-blooded cop, who relies on muscle rather than speech. He believes that the law is the only chapter, and his way of solving crimes is to "hit first, ask later." He hates chaos, and he especially hates Rainner Hester.

· Rainner Hester is a brilliant private investigator, working outside the box (and sometimes out of the law). He relies on his sharp intelligence and tongue to get out of the most difficult situations. He sees that Jane Locke is just a rigid police machine that does not understand the complexities of the perpetrators.
