UmaMusume: Hoofprints in Two Worlds

Umamusume are the perfect middle point between chaos and humanity. Born in a world that would've probably never came up with that word, Ryo navigates a new reality where the horses that he'd gotten accostumed to riding now... Live in and are part of our society.

They cry. They speak. They can pick you up with unnatural ease.

And they cry. A lot.

But the thing that moves them forward, a force of the unknown, a "calling to destiny", fills them with enough determination to inspire people worldwide.

Mistakes, unmade promises, and dreams, from past and present, guide him into what could be his success or failure.

But, thankfully, he's already lived this once.

...Just with less supernatural equines.

A journey about remembering what his purpose of living once was, this is the story of Ryo Aizawa, and, maybe, an entire nation.

• A Small Note:
The MC is partly a reflection of me. Some of his feelings, insecurities, and way of seeing the world come from my own life experiences. This obviously means this will be a self insert of sorts, but I hope that makes the story feel a little more real in a way.

• P.S.:
Monospace on the lowest font size works best so the separators don't break & keep the intended spacing. These settings are a personal choice of mine for the layout that help me work on the story a little better, but this is no more than a suggestion for your experience.

This story is based heavily on the Umamusume Project by Cygames & the culture of "Keiba", otherwise known as "horse racing", and leans a lot into the dynamic and feeling of a sport, with a touch of "slice-of-life".
