Where the Dirt Sticks

Everyone thinks childhood is supposed to be innocent.

Mine wasn't.

It was messy.
Unstable.
And full of things I should've never had to understand.

I learned how to read a room before I learned how to be a kid.
I learned how to survive before I ever felt safe.

And even now...
it still follows me.

Because when life gets dirty like that-

it doesn't just wash away.

It sticks.
