The girl seemed to think for a moment, then she shrugged and giggled.
"Actually... I think I have one," she exhaled, grabbing her bag and throwing it over her desk.

Neither she nor Nora noticed that she had whacked the student in the desk in front of her with the strap of her bag.

They didn't care about that guy. The girl was searching for a knife she absolutely did have and Nora was searching the girl's face.
Both were incredibly busy.

The girl began pulling out item after item, all of which seemed like things you either didn't need for school or you certainly should not have been bringing to school.

She pulled out a stack of brightly colored menstrual pads and set them on her desk, followed by an extra pair of socks and two knitting needles.

She gasped when she found a small bag of rings, interrupting her search to slowly try on every one, modeling them for Nora.

Nora gave her a thumbs up, instantly wishing she had done something else with her face.
