Tender rot

A love story set in the mid 80's between two teenagers from drastically different worlds who meet by chance and cruel fate at their shared high school. Follow Joseph and Imani through their journey as they learn to work together and grow together for the sake of surviving not only their school and the gangs and people within it, but also the cruel streets/world of Brooklyn, as they learn the world isn't all fun and games, doesn't play fair, and that fate is even more crueler and twisted than they expected especially from the people closest to them. Where both family and the worlds expectation come at high costs that many people even family judge the bodies and not the minds behind them joespeh and imani being forced to grow up early and adapt and learn to outwit both adults, the mob, and life if they want to survive till graduation and adult hood enough to understand this strange pull between them in this dark, strange, tender rotten coming of age love story filled with religous gulit trauma desperation and tender rotten love they dont understand.
