Illbound

I stood there, her green eyes tracing me. Even without looking I could feel it. The quiet questions she held. Why did I do it?
Honestly, I do not know. I just did.
Guilt was all I felt. But I didn't move. I stood there and watched her leave - taking questions with her that even I could not answer.

I watched him with nothing but curiosity. Not anger. Not hate.
Just curiosity. As to what I could have possibly done to deserve it.
He didn't look at me. Not even a glance.
And somehow, I understood what I didn't know.

Tied by war, fate, betrayal and guilt.
Tied by responsibilities, roles and duties.
Will they fight for what their hearts know is right?
Or will they succumb to the cruelty of a world that was never on their side?
