This story follows Finnian, a troubled prince trapped in a life controlled by his father, who expects him to fall in love and marry for power rather than choice, leaving Finn feeling suffocated and spiraling into drinking, drugs, and reckless behavior to cope with the lack of control. Everything shifts when he meets Claire, a grounded and genuine girl who sees him as a person instead of a title, and despite their messy, fast-building relationship filled with deep emotional and physical connection, Finn's self-destructive habits begin to damage what they have. Claire tries to understand and support him without losing herself, while Rory, Finn's protective and blunt sister, acts as both a bridge and a reality check, calling him out and stepping in when things go wrong. As Finn's behavior worsens getting into fights, showing up drunk, and making choices that hurt Claire their relationship starts to fracture, especially after he betrays her trust while intoxicated, forcing Claire to pull back and question everything. Just as things feel like they're falling apart, a night out meant to distract Claire takes a turn when something goes wrong at a club, and Rory has to get her out and keep her safe, highlighting how vulnerable everything has become. When Finn finds out afterward, he's hit with guilt, anger, and fear, realizing too late how much Claire means to him and how close he is to losing her, leading to a quiet, fragile moment between them where nothing is fully fixed, but for once, instead of chaos, there's stillness two people holding onto something real in the middle of everything trying to tear them apart. Forgive me! Yes I know they are in college. I totally forgot until like the 16th chapter and I'm not fixing it! If there is a change please notice that's why! I unpublished and republished the book that's why the dates are weird. A new chapter almost every other day!

I find myself staring into her eyes. And for the first time, I don't look away. I just hold my breath as her beautiful dark brown eyes search mine, a concerned look on her face. "You sure I'm not making you uncomfortable again?" She whispers. I don't know if it's the fact that she seems to genuinely be concerned about me or the way the light is dancing across her eyes, but I end up blurting out, "You're real pretty, Irie." She seems very surprised for a long moment. "Oh, um...thank you." She whispers. I just bite my lip, my eyes settling on hers. I'll bet she's an amazing kisser. My toes curl at just the thought of making out with her. "You're very welcome. You should wear your hair like that more, it looks nice." I continue. She slowly touches one of her little curls. "Why are you being so nice all of a sudden?" She seems flustered. Hmm. I shrug. "I'm always nice to you." I point out. "You're so sweet, Adrian." I roll my eyes when she starts pinching my cheek. I hate it when she does that. ...I love it, let me shut up. "Yeah, whatever. Come on, let's get to class before Brawler throws a fit." I grumble even though I'm not particularly irritated. In fact, this has been the best month of my life and it's definitely all because of her. *Mature content*
