The Unwanted Savior

Decades after a continent dividing war, Humans dominate the land. A world once full of magic and wonder now thrives on man-power and recently discovered electricity, though it's only common in large cities.
The outer towns and villages, however, still work on the old ways. Farming, fishing, and hunting with the tried and true methods of hard work, bows and arrows. At night, mothers tell stories to their children of magic, wars, and long believed extinct species.
Traveling North to the mountains and forests of the wild, one will encounter lone woodsmen, hunters, and many types of Fae. The Beastfolk still roam this land, but stay hidden for fear of attack and prejudice, to the point that most people have forgotten they exist.
Make no mistake dear reader, the Beastfolk still live among us, whether in hiding, traveling caravans, or hiding away in the wild parts of the world. Don't take them granted, for they might be your downfall, or your saviors.
