- This is a continuation of Carpe Diem: Seize the Day My Love 

In the first book of the Carpe Diem Series, Marlene Brennan took a trip to California to explore what her new identity as 'Miss Independent' had in store for her.  After three months of finding contentment, she heads back to her hometown as promised, but soon learns that the person she wanted to see the most has left to begin his professional baseball career.  However, Owen Thomas left a letter and a journal in the hands of his friends in hopes of having Marlene read them.

In this journal, an account of how little Owen came to be as a smooth and clever 'player' will be told.  Growing up with divorced parents, being known as an original prankster, being sent to a boarding school by his father as a punishment, hanging around with the wrong group of friends, and eventually living with his Aunt, was mainly all Owen ever knew before he met the Brennan siblings.  

So, please don't be too quick to judge people. Every moment you can get with them counts, and then you can understand where they are really coming from.
