Resistance AU: Sonic X Tails

Sonic the Hedgehog is used to running at supersonic speeds, but he suddenly finds himself fleeing from something he can't outrun: his own heart. After a confusing realization about his best friend, Tails, Sonic spends three years desperately burying his feelings behind a mask of brotherly affection, terrified of ruining the most important bond in his life. But as Tails grows older and the lines between brotherhood and something more begin to blur, Sonic struggles to maintain his carefully constructed distance. Forced to confront desires he never thought he'd have, Sonic must decide whether to keep running in fear or stand still and accept who he truly is-even if it means changing everything between them.
