"Bellatrix had a daughter?"
"Is she as crazy as her mother?"
"Where has she been all these years?"
Lyra Lestrange is, unfortunately, the daughter of the incarcerated and criminally insane Bellatrix Lestrange. It's a fact she's able to ignore while enrolled at Beauxbatons, where her mother's infamous past is somewhat unknown. Yet her heritage is no longer easy to ignore once the Malfoys transfer her to Hogwarts following Lyra's brush with death during Fifth Year. The now-Sixth Year student is forced to give up ballet - her one true passion - and trade her best friend, Fleur Delacour, for a gang of fellow transfer outcasts.
As the school year progresses, Lyra finds herself caught between her damaged past and dismal future as she recalls the events that brought her to Hogwarts. Along the way, she finds herself competing with Harry Potter to be Hogwarts' champion within the Triwizard Tournament, as well as navigating her complicated relationship with Erica Weasley, the roommate she may not-so-secretly be in love with. Yet life continues to complicate itself as the homophobic Malfoys hope to mold Lyra into a perfect wife and Death Eater.
Lyra may just have a mid youth crisis.
