The Boy Who Keeps Leaving Notes

Every Monday morning, 20-year-old Lila Hart finds a handwritten note tucked inside her favourite library book.

The first one says:

Stop pretending you're okay.

No name.
No explanation.
Just neat black ink and words that somehow know exactly what she's feeling.

Lila has spent the last year trying to rebuild herself after a devastating breakup and the sudden death of her older sister. She keeps everyone at a distance, especially love.

But the notes keep coming.

Each one reveals something impossibly personal:

what song she cried to at 2 a.m.
the coffee order she only gets on bad days
the rooftop where she goes when she misses her sister
the dream she gave up after her life fell apart

Someone sees her.

Really sees her.

At first it feels comforting.

Then it becomes consuming.

Because the mysterious note-writer seems to know things no stranger should know.

And when Lila finally meets Noah Vale - the quiet, brooding guy who works nights at the bookstore across from campus - she begins to suspect he's the one writing them.

He denies everything.

But Noah always seems to be there before she falls apart.

And he has scars of his own:
a family tragedy, a reputation he never asked for, and a secret connection to Lila's sister that could ruin everything.

Now Lila is caught between wanting to uncover the truth and falling for the one person who might be hiding it.
