In the humid, golden haze of 1980s rural India, the river is the only thing that connects two worlds. On one side, Jungkook-a twenty-year-old soul draped in the heavy silks and glass bangles of a bride-leaves behind the only home he has ever known. Crossing the water to a village he does not recognize, he enters a life defined by the rustle of his saree, the weight of his ghunghat, and the submissive silence expected of a new daughter-in-law.

On the other bank waits Taehyung, a twenty-four-year-old farmer whose life is measured by the harvest and the hard-earned soil beneath his fingernails. He is a man of few words and steady hands, a middle-class laborer who now finds himself sharing his quiet home with a shy, saree-clad stranger who barely meets his eyes.

Amidst the crackle of transistor radios, the scent of woodsmoke at dawn, and the slow rhythm of the monsoons, a fragile tension begins to bloom. In a world where duty is law and love is a whisper, can they bridge the river that flows between them?
