The Lycan (A draft)

Never really cared about other people not because I'm selfish but it's because that's all life taught me.

What else can you do when that's all the cards life has dealt you?

Who would have thought it would have been the thing that saved me? But as I held hands with the thing that might very well lead to my death, it gave me that sweet sweet smile. Somehow it saved me, it had my life in its hands and it didn't hand it over. But what did it want in return?

Fear

My eyes locked with the glowing, yellow orbs of the monster towering over me. Its hot, putrid breath washed over my face as I struggled to find the courage to move.

I knew that any sudden movement could be the end of me, but I also knew that I couldn't stay frozen forever. With a deep breath, I steeled myself and took a step forward, ready to face the monster head-on.
