Chandika Pandey, a witch living in Gujarat, India during British Imperialism has been struggling with the disadvantages and oppression of her people . Brought up learning Vedic magic in secrecy of the British Ministry, Chandika finds herself in Hogwarts, the best school of witchcraft and wizardry the UK has to offer, with her cousin James Potter.

Though unsatisfied with her circumstances, Chandika braves the waters of schooling, finding unexpected friendships (and maybe more) as she tries to pry into Ministry and find hope for her country. But what happens when she begins to see the deadly darkness lurking in the shadows? Will she seize the opportunity, wreak havoc to unleash freedom? Or is the blood so poisonous it could seep into her motherland?
