An Overcast Sky (Umamusume)

The idea of grandeur and prestige when becoming a national trainer is palpable, many come with such high hopes. Not only for ourselves but for our trainee as well, many take on the challenge and responsibilities that come with becoming a professional trainer. There are so many successes stories out there of trainers and their trainees making their dreams come true, it fills one with hope... I suppose those who can't make their dreams come true just get forgotten, stories like those never get told, but they do happen just happens out of sight. Hidden behind thick a cloud.

My rendition of a trainer who simply couldn't handle a certain trainee, I believe most angst stories revolve around the trainee themselves but I'd like to think that trainers can simply go through it as well. After all this is their legacy and career we're talking about so it'd make sense if a trainer would go through some turmoil especially when dealing with rather troublesome trainees. I'll try my best to stay grounded in canon and whatnot, but this is my crack pot idea that i summoned after seeing fanart and playing through the career modes.

If you must know who the trainee in question is before you read then it's Seiun Sky, why her? Hmmm, I could see trainers really give up or feel dejected after awhile (trust I'll try to make it make sense in the story)
