While Azzi is swept up in the romance of the idea, Paige harbors nothing but disdain for the event and vows to boycott it entirely. Yet, driven by a restless curiosity, Paige finds herself slipping into the gala under the shroud of a disguise.
There, shielded by the anonymity of their masks and oblivious to the identity of the person before them, Paige and Azzi fall deeply for one another. Haunted by the magic of that night and unable to forget her mysterious encounter, Azzi begins a desperate quest to track her down. The irony, however, is cruel: she hasn't just fallen for the masked stranger, but has also begun to develop profound feelings for the real Paige...
