Saving Maddy

When she gets mixed up with the wrong group of people Madison Cove finds herself at war with them. She quickly learns that leaving a gang is never that easy.

"I-" She began to say.

It seemed like she was having trouble getting the words out.

"Fiona brought you up in a conversation once and I cut her off because I knew where the conversation was going. I basically told her to not even entertain the idea of you and I because I couldn't picture myself being with a girl. I told her that it would have to be someone I really loved if it were to ever happen. Someone special." She stopped talking and it looked like she was done until she said, "It took me a while to figure it all out, but you are that someone. I'm sorry for being so afraid to admit it before, but I love y-"

I was so focused on what she had to say that I didn't hear the car pull up behind me, and she was trying so hard to say something she's been hiding for what seemed like ever that she couldn't have anticipated the bullet that went flying past me and hit her in the head.

Her head snapped back right before she fell on the ground.

Time froze

When I processed what had happened a scream escaped my mouth.

"Maddy!" I yelled as I ran over to her.
