No one tells you the hardest part of the end of the world isn't the dead.
It's the living.
Because the world didn't end when the dead started walking.
It ended when people did.
It ended in the silence after the screaming.
In the way trust became something fragile... and then something rare.
In the way people stopped looking at each other like humans-and started looking at each other like threats.
Walkers are predictable.
They don't lie.
They don't pretend.
They don't smile at you and then turn around and destroy everything you thought you had.
People do.
And in a world like this, that's what gets you killed.
Some people stay.
Not because they're strong.
Not because they're fearless.
But because leaving would mean losing the last pieces of who they used to be.
