Will Byers has never cared for football games.
He doesn't mind them, of course-you have to force yourself to enjoy them when you're made to attend every one. He doesn't mind the loud stand tunes, or the silly dances and chants that are reserved specifically for the band, or the chaotic atmosphere as they prepare for the halftime show, or even those rare events where Will ends up being genuinely invested in the game.
Which is why it never fails to amaze Will when his boyfriend is always a few minutes late to every single game without fail.
