Finn Acker takes his anger out on hitting baseballs. That might be why, senior year of high school, he finds himself captain of the team, with D1 offers on the rise. He's the school's "Golden boy." Known and loved by almost everyone in his small town in North Carolina. Well... almost everyone.

Scotty Landry has had it out for Finn ever since sophomore year, and Finn has no idea why. Scotty's first and only love has been music. He spends his time booking gigs for his band and smoking outside of a run down gas station, the complete opposite of Finn. The two, like oil and water, just don't mix. And that will never, ever change.
