Kael Varn, a former slave taken from Tatooine and forged into a deadly assassin, was never meant to survive his first encounter with Darth Plagueis. Scarred and presumed dead, he disappears into the Outer Rim-only to re-emerge as one of the galaxy's most feared bounty hunters.

Known as the Jedi Killer, Kael builds a ruthless reputation hunting down members of the Jedi Order using pure skill, strategy, and brutality.

But everything changes the night the Force awakens within him.

At the moment of Plagueis' death at the hands of Palpatine, Kael is struck by a violent surge of dark side energy-unlocking a power he was never trained to wield. With no master and no allegiance, he begins to forge his own path, blending deadly bounty hunter tactics with raw, instinctive command of the Force.

As the Republic falls and the Galactic Empire rises from its ashes, Kael becomes something far more dangerous than either Jedi or Sith.
