Unspeakable | taekook

A Taekook fanfiction.

"You're working so hard, but you eat so little," Jungkook murmured, his voice laced with a quiet, desperate hope. "Everyone says my cooking is amazing-why won't you even try a bite for me?"

Taehyung looked at him. "Do you want to know why?"

Jungkook nodded earnestly.

"Because the sight of you makes me sick."

Jungkook had chased after Taehyung from the moment they met through all the years that followed. Married for three years now, he's given Taehyung a daughter and a home-even if it's a house Taehyung hates to return to, and even if Jungkook is often cooking for a man who doesn't come home.

Still, he is content to keep going, as long as their days pass like this.

It's a life where their hands never touch the same bowl. A life where Taehyung only lingers to hold his daughter, leaving a ghost of warmth that somehow eases the ache in Jungkook's bones. In this home, Jungkook is satisfied to simply watch the man he loves and their beautiful girl until the day he dies.

At the bottom of a drawer, a piece of paper hides: a rough sketch of a family of three walking hand-in-hand, with a single dark smear staining the corner of the page.

To Jungkook, all of this feels sweet.
