At first, Y/N and Ellie were at each other's throats. Since the very moment Y/n arrived at Jackson, she had been Ellies target, someone to take her pent up anger out on. Over the years of taking Ellies shit- her harsh words and deplorable actions, Y/n chose to avoid her. That was already hard enough, being as their parents were related. Tommy took Y/n in with Maria the day she stepped into Jackson, a broken, soulless young girl. Even now, they are stuck as patrol partners... I say "stuck," but they are the ones denying a replacement. They don't trust that someone else could keep the other safe. Ellie blames it on Y/n being weak, accusing her of allowing her fear to get the best of her. Y/n says it would be unfair to throw someone else in with someone as cruel as Ellie.
