Why is it so easy for people to express their feelings? Brian didn't remember most of his childhood, which led him to question more often than he'd like how people could so easily share such common bonds. He'd never had the girlfriend his parents had always hoped for, he struggled to make friends, and the few he did have, he tried to get closer to by spending time with them. Then he'd get stressed if he needed some time for himself, something he'd been smothering with other things to keep himself distracted. He wished he wasn't surrounded by so much commotion all the time. What was so hard about that for people to understand? It was complicated every time Freddie acted impulsively and he had to help him, even more so when Roger had problems with one girl or another and got depressed, and even more so when John still hadn't dared to write his own song in the band and was the shyest of all in the room, even though Brian tried to be friendly. He admitted that he occasionally enjoyed those moments in the studio with his friends, all with the same goal of becoming an extraordinary band, but was it worth it if Brian wasn't happy yet? That day would come someday. At least, Brian hoped that day would come.

Prince Maekar Targaryen, a stern and dutiful fourth son of King Daeron II Targaryen, has always believed his life belongs to war, family, and duty-not love. Lady Maelora Velaryon, gentle, pious, and quietly strong, is everything he is not, yet she is the only person who can soften the iron in his heart. As they grow from childhood companions into something far deeper, the weight of their names, expectations, and destiny begins to threaten the fragile bond they have built. In a world of fire, power, and sacrifice, will their quiet love survive-or will duty tear them apart? Maekar Targaryen x OC!Velaryon All characters belong to George R.R.
