The Rookie: Under Bradford's Watch
Twenty-two-year-old Sadie Matthews has traveled across the country to Los Angeles, California, chasing the only dream she's ever been sure of-becoming a cop. Living with RLS, ADD, ADHD, a herniated disc, and three bulging discs pressing against her spine makes some days harder than others, but Sadie refuses to let any of it decide what she can or can't accomplish.
During the police academy, she becomes close friends with fellow rookies John Nolan and Jackson West. But Sadie has one secret even her friends don't know. She's living out of her car, determined not to waste money on an apartment until she survives her entire first year as a rookie and knows Los Angeles is where she belongs.
Then she meets her Training Officer.
Tim Bradford.
He's tough, stubborn, intimidating, and famous for pushing rookies to their limits with his infamous Bradford Tests. He's also exactly Sadie's type-the kind of man she knows she shouldn't be thinking about, especially when he's responsible for deciding whether she has what it takes to wear the badge.
As Tim begins noticing the pain Sadie tries to hide, the exhaustion she can't always disguise, and the strange clues that suggest his rookie might not actually have a home to go to at night, keeping her secrets becomes harder.
Sadie came to Los Angeles expecting the toughest year of her life.
She just never expected falling for Tim Bradford to become the hardest test of all.
