Haunting nightmares

Not yet. That would've given off too many clues. Too loud or too obvious

But close enough that it didn't matter.

From where he stood he relished. The thought of no one knowing what intentions he had or even suspected anything at all. It sent a strange almost giddy feeling up through his entire body. One that he'd known long enough now to know the name.

Lust

The word settled into him, heavy and familiar like it belonged there. Like she belonged with him.
