If you haven't asked this question, you're not human. It's normal to wonder what will expire first.
For Evan Buckley, it was his method for love and attention.
Evan, or Buck, was born to be used as spare parts. His older brother was dying, and they needed an Exact match for bone marrow. Therefore, Buck was born.
For the first 5 years of bucks life, it was blood drawing, procedures, signing papers and liability waivers. Then, out of no where, his brother passed away. Evan lost his purpose within the family quickly.
It took 3 years from Buck to find out how to be loved, and get attention. Pain, and recklessness. Evan was 8 when he first got majorly hurt, in a bike crash. His parents cared for him, for once.
Slowly, over years, Buck purposely put himself in situations where he would or could get hurt. But when Evan turned 15, his sister Maddie, moved out. The next time Buck tried to get hurt, he found a glitch in the system.
His parents reacted different, they hit him. They continued to do so for many more years. Until, Buck got hurt very badly and went to the hospital where his sister worked. He made up a lie, begged for her car. She gave it to him, and left, ran away at 17. Though, he kept in "contact" with Maddie.
At 21, Buck joined a fire house as a fire fighter. He was still reckless, but it was said to just be "Buck being Buck."
What happens as Bucks life unravels, and his past is spooled out?
I'll answer that with a question.
