"You really don't want to take another step towards that door." He said as he put one hand on the wall, leaning casually with a smirk upon his obnoxiously gorgeous face that I want to punch. I crossed my arms. "And why's that?" In a blink of an eye he had me pinned to the wall. "Because I'll lock you up and never let you leave." He held his smirk. "But please, by all means, walk out the door because you and I both know we wouldn't mind being locked up together." I put on a smirk of my own and stood on my tip-toes to reach his ear. "You're delusional," I whispered as I kneed him where the sun don't shine. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I felt the bed dip as he sat down on the other side but I focused solely on my task until I was done. "This is a pillow barrier. Meaning, you don't breach this side of the pillows." I instructed, my voice firm. "What if I don't want anything between us?" Phoenix said in a husky voice, and I risked a glance. Bad choice. His eyes were dark and his gaze was on my lips, to my chest, then back to my lips. "Eyes up here, buddy." I snapped the third time his eyes went down to my chest. All he did was turn off the lights. When it was dark, he whispered," Can't I admire what is mine?" I had no answer, and turned on my side. He sighed. Despite taking two naps today, I was out cold the minute my head hit my pillow. I could only hope that in the morning, the pillow barrier was still there. ***** Adira has a secret, one she would do anything to protect.
