GUILTY TILL PROVEN INNOCENT

Ricardo Lujano is a 19-year-old sophomore and star pitcher for his college baseball team. He comes from a wealthy, supportive family and has two siblings who adore him. Popular on campus, Ricardo is constantly surrounded by attention from both girls and guys, but he is in a relationship with 21-year-old Samuel Soto. He also has a 10-month-old son, Matteo, from a high school relationship that ended before he came out as bisexual.

As his second season begins, Ricardo's life is suddenly upended during a game when he is arrested on the mound alongside his best friend and teammate, 19-year-old Tim Morgan, the team's starting first baseman. The charges stem from a drunk incident in their junior year of high school that resurfaces years later-an event tied to a gas station robbery gone wrong that resulted in two deaths. Despite their age at the time, the evidence against them is overwhelming, and both are denied bail as they await trial.

Tim Morgan, also 19 and a standout sophomore athlete, is bisexual and in a relationship with Matt Anderson. Like Ricardo, he comes from a loving, affluent family. He also has a 10-month-old son, Alexander, from a one-night stand during his senior year of high school. Tim's arrest alongside Ricardo forces both athletes from their rising careers into a shared legal battle that threatens to redefine their futures.
