They say the youngest child is the luckiest. The most loved, the most protected, the favorite. But what they don't see are the quiet moments when I am overlooked, the times my opinions never seem to matter, and how my identity is always defined by everyone else. This is not my attempt to prove that I had it harder. This is my truth. What it feels like to grow up misunderstood, to carry expectations I never chose, and to search for myself in a family that already thinks they know who I am. Because sometimes, being the youngest does not mean I am the most loved. Sometimes, it just means I am the least understood.
