There was a kid. A very young kid, one who was curious of the Great Outside. They had heard about it from many around them; it was a time where everything seemed perfect. Compared to the sterile white they had been living in, where everyone kept poking them with pins and needles, it sounded so much better. The only company they had were the voices in their head. At some point, all hell broke loose. The details get fuzzy from here, smoke rising onto a new world. ... A world of ruin. Disaster and apocalypse lay everywhere, not at all like the bright colors they had once heard of. As they walked, calamity continued to follow them. War, Pestilence, Famine, Death; familiar names to the kid and their voices, ones they eventually attached to themselves. After letting go of the notion over who should be in control, they all solemnly agreed on one thing; It really was the end of their world. A world they never got to experience. Just when they thought they had met someone and could put their trust in someone? They died, at the hands of the tall. The people who were like those with pins and needles. The people who put them in a cage and wanted to test on them, one more time. But they didn't sit still; they let it happen, only for things to backfire just like that. And, in one moment... Everything was gone. Just the kid, their voices, and raw overwhelming power that came from the ashes of a dead reality. And a door. A Door to Tomorrow. No, a door to the Great Outside they had been told of. What lay ahead? People who'd cut them apart with axes? Some who'd try to poison and whittle them down? Greedy people who were only in it for the money? Or was it something more terrifying than all of that? No, nothing would scare them. Not anymore. It didn't matter whether it was right. It didn't matter whether it was wrong. They were going to live their own way. Travelling through dimensions, through realities, making their marks. And maybe, just maybe, they could finally find Home.
