What should have been just another night of drinking and clubbing towards the end of his university year turned into something irreversible. Est the one William hit survived but his hands and legs didn't. And neither did his dreams. He had to take months of rehabilitation that took everything away from him, including the continuation of his education and the place he had earned in the national swimming team.
While Est was learning how to live again, William's parents made sure nothing touched their only son. Money buried the truth, a blank cheque and a quiet deal ended up in William and Est's marriage. Est got handed over like compensation by his family, forced into a responsibility and relationship he never wanted.
Now they're tied together with no sense of direction, no sight of freedom and here the story unfolds.
( Salvatore is set in an ABO universe but I've not deeply talked about it. I initially intended to, but when writing, the focus fell more on the emotional aspects and complications of the characters. But the major events & turns are going to be on the basis of ABO. So please refer to the tags before reading to be more comfortable :)
