One Last Hug "Book 2"

Jestoni Perrington is tormented by recurring dreams of the tragic train station incident where his best friend Leandra Johnson stabbed Gina Carter, leading both women to fall onto the tracks and be crushed by a train. The trauma leaves him emotionally scarred and unable to move forward.

Awakening from his nightmare, Jestoni faces the harsh reality that he can never rekindle his relationship with his ex-girlfriend Kim Martin. Memories of their past together resurface, reminding him of the days when he was just an ordinary drummer boy before joining the Midnight Strangers.

In a poignant recollection, Jestoni remembers meeting Kim on a rooftop while smoking. Her voice, reminiscent of a radio DJ, drew him in. Kim, a short-haired pianist with glasses, invited him to share a cigarette. Their bond grew as she introduced him to her band, where Jestoni became the drummer. Their romance blossomed, culminating in Kim accepting his love with a passionate kiss.

Determined to find closure, Jestoni sends Kim a message asking to meet on the rooftop under neon lights for a final disclosure, perhaps one last hug to end everything. But fate intervenes: while walking through the city, he witnesses an office woman being chased by a Mexican cholo gangster wielding a gun.

Jestoni now faces a pivotal decision. Should he step in to help the endangered woman, potentially altering the course of his life, or should he walk away to keep his promise of meeting Kim for closure? His choice will determine whether the story continues down a path of redemption, new love, or final farewell.
