Hints of The Dead

A series of impossible crimes begins in the darkest night with a man who dies of fear in a room no one remembers he ever occupied. No forced entry. No witnesses. Only a warped melody looping endlessly from an antique music box resonating on the walls. An impossible crime: a homicide without a body but with too many witnesses.
Liam, a meticulous detective obsessed with control and precision. The perfect piece in an enigma where everyone gives the impression of being marionettes in an invisible puppeteer is assigned to work alongside Vincent, a brilliantly eccentric and volatile investigator whose methods defy reason. His insight borders on the disturbing. Among the echoes of a melody that never ends and the whispers of those who should not speak, they uncover a pattern that goes far beyond a single murder: a network of crimes built on devotion, erasure, and substitution. Yet, in a game where shadows know more than death, who's the predator, and who's the prey. Or better, should say who's the prayer, and who's the worshipped?
As the investigation deepens, victims begin to vanish not only from records, but from memory itself. Names are forgotten. Faces blur. Lives are rewritten. At the centre of it all lies a cult that does not worship a god, but creates one, replacing the old with something new, something more... useful.
Liam is forced to confront an unsettling truth: faith can be engineered, identity can be sacrificed, and salvation is just another performance.
In a world desperate for meaning, someone is always willing to become a god.
And someone else will always be willing to kneel.
Will they manage to uncover the truth before their own final whisper is trapped in darkness?
