Noon, hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit gustong-gusto niyang sumuong sa mga alon. Kung bakit sa tuwing lumalaki ang hampas ng dagat, mas lalo siyang lumalapit dito- tila ba wala siyang takot na matangay o malunod. Habang ako naman, kuntento nang pagmasdan ang mga iyon mula sa malayo.
Dahil para sa akin, ang mga alon ay hindi lang basta alon.
Para silang mga problema sa buhay ko- magulo, malakas, at anumang oras ay kayang lunurin ang isang taong hindi marunong lumangoy palabas. Kaya natuto akong umiwas. Natuto akong matakot. Dahil sa mundong kinalakihan ko, walang magandang dulot ang pagsuong sa isang bagay na alam mong kayang manakit sa'yo.
Pero siya...
Parang kabaligtaran ko.
Habang ako'y sanay na tumakbo palayo sa unos, siya naman ang taong kayang ngumiti habang hinahamon ang pinakamalalakas na alon gamit ang surfboard niya.
At siguro... kaya ko siya patuloy na pinapanood.
Dahil may parte sa akin na gustong malaman kung ano ba talaga ang pakiramdam ng hindi matakot.
