Giovanna Almeida was born into chaos, raised in silk dresses and gunpowder tension, and guarded like she's the last slice of pizza at a family dinner. Being the only girl and youngest in a Brazilian cartel dynasty means six overprotective brothers breathing down her neck 24/7, each one ready to start a war if someone even looks at her wrong. Unfortunately for everyone... she looks back. Enter Ethan Ortiz. Oldest son of the rival Mexican family. Arrogant. Annoyingly calm. Built like trouble. And worst of all? He knows exactly who she is the second they collide at a high-stakes cartel ball. Literally collide. Like champagne spilling, insults flying, "watch where the hell you're going" type of meet-cute. Their families? Enemies. Their history? Bloody. Their chemistry? Disgustingly undeniable. What starts as petty insults and heated stares turns into late-night arguments, accidental run-ins, and tension so thick it could start its own fire. Because Ethan isn't scared of her brothers... and Giovanna definitely isn't scared of him. But when deals start collapsing, shipments go missing, and both families are pushed to the edge, one question starts creeping in: Are they really enemies... or is someone playing them both? Now Giovanna's stuck between loyalty and something way more dangerous... feelings. And Ethan? He's either her biggest mistake... or the only one who's ever truly seen her beyond the Almeida name. Either way, if they don't figure their shit out fast, this twisted game of love and war might end with both their families burning. And yeah... kissing the enemy was definitely not part of the plan.

Valeria didn't rush. She never did. Inez was pinned beneath her, wrist locked overhead, the hold precise and impersonal. Not pain. Control. Inez scoffed anyway. "That's it?" she sneered. "I've had tutors scarier than you." Valeria said nothing. The silence pressed in. "You don't scare me," Inez added, louder. Brattier. "You just-" "Enough." One word. Flat. Final. Valeria lifted Inez's chin with two fingers, detached as a correction. "Look at me," she said coolly. "If you're going to embarrass yourself, do it properly." Inez laughed, brittle. "You think this makes you powerful?" "I don't think," Valeria replied. "I decide." Her gaze never wavered. "You provoke because it's the last control you have." "I don't belong to you," Inez snapped. Valeria leaned in, voice razor-thin. "You are my wife. You belong to consequences." She released her grip. "Say it." "No." Valeria waited. The quiet broke Inez, she hated being ignored. "...I'll behave, I'll be a good girl" Inez muttered. "Specify." Inez swallowed hard. "...I'll be your good girl" Valeria stepped back, already distant. "Good," she said. "Remember why." #1 older women-13th February (FAST PACE BOOK)
