Somewhere in a small but strong village in 1940s, it took place.

Pond didn't marry for love.

He married because the next head of the village needed a partner.
To secure his position.
To prove he was ready.
To give an heir.

Phuwin was chosen for him.
A quiet boy. No history. No resistance.
Disciplined enough.
Easy enough.

Perfect.
