Ashton Vito Ruiz is a scrawny, lonely high school outcast whose only escape is 90s Nickelodeon reruns and late-night Discord servers. Bullied, canceled, and abandoned by almost everyone, he survives on ramen and reruns until the dreams start.
In those dreams he meets Lucina Shatterstar - a fierce wolf-eared warrior who kisses his forehead, hugs him like an oath, and then gets dragged away by hunters. When he wakes, the emptiness is worse than before.
Years later, a coworker named Hartiel finally drags him out of his shell and reveals the truth: her husband Henry is a dragon in human skin, and they have come to fulfill a vow - bring Lucina back from the dream prison where she has been trapped for years.
When the ritual succeeds, Lucina steps through the seam, slaps Ashton for making her wait, then hugs him like she never wants to let go. The world cracks open. Paint begins to rain - teal, magenta, ultraviolet - turning ordinary hallways and streets into nightmarish canvases where monsters (reds) and human raiders (ambers) hunt the innocent.
Ashton, Lucina, Hartiel, Henry, Zreri, Harley, and a growing crew of misfits form the Dragun Corps - a decentralized, ragtag alliance that operates as both humanitarian aid and self-defense force. Their rules are simple but ironclad: shield the innocent first, capture mortals when possible, drop reds only when they threaten lives. No unnecessary killing. No shrugging when someone needs help.
